Arrotek Moves into New Purpose-Built Premises in Sligo
Arrotek, the industry-leading developer and manufacturer of new medical device products, has moved into a new state-of-the-art facility in Sligo. The purpose-built facility is in Finisklin IDA Park, right in the heart of Sligo’s life sciences cluster.
Work on the new 52,000 square foot facility began in autumn 2018, with the Arrotek team moving in ahead of schedule at the start of July 2019.
The new premises give the company, which is an Atlantic MedTech Cluster member, additional lab space for medical device product development, engineering, and testing.
Arrotek works with medical device entrepreneurs, innovators, and companies from around the world helping them design and develop new medical device products. It also has medical device manufacturing capabilities along with extensive experience in the industry.
Arrotek was acquired by US-based Galt Medical in May 2019, giving Arrotek access to new markets and expertise. Galt Medical is a subsidiary of the Theragenics Corporation.
Mark Pugh is Co-Managing Director of Arrotek. He said: “Our new facility in Sligo will help us enhance the service we offer to customers even further.
“We have seen strong growth both in Arrotek and in the industry more widely in recent years, and we expect that growth to continue.”
