Arrotek Opens New Cleanroom Production Facilities
Atlantic MedTech Cluster Member Arrotek has opened new cleanroom production facilities that are twice the size of its previous cleanrooms. The new facilities are located in its new purpose-built base of operations in Sligo.
Arrotek helps individuals and companies turn a concept or idea for a medical device into a regulatory approved and manufactured product. It specialises in product design and development, prototyping, manufacturing, and more.
Arrotek’s new base of operations is a 50,000 sq. ft. building in the heart of Sligo’s life sciences industry. After moving in last month, the company went through the process of qualifying its new cleanrooms. This was completed last week, and the cleanrooms are now fully operational.
Co-founder and Co-Managing Director of Arrotek, Ger O’Carroll, said: “Our new cleanroom facilities include a Class 8 (100,000) room for moulding and a Class 7 (10,000) room for assembly and packaging.
“The expansion increases our capacity and enhances the service we offer to our customers.”
